Dear competitors,

The 2011 season marks a new chapter for dressage in Canada. Tests have been revised and reduced in numbers. The freestyles (kür) have been modified to respect the norms for each level. Approved safety headgear (ASTM/SEI, BSI) must now be worn by anybody on a horse with a few exceptions for FEI riders. Please refer to rule E 4.0 for complete details.

This prize list provides you with information and documents required for your entries at six of the Gold dressage shows presented in Quebec in 2011: Dressage du Boisé in Mascouche, on June 4 & 5, L’Épiphanie, Feria de la Belle-Époque on July 9 & 10. The Fantasia Dressage Classic in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on July 23 & 24, followed by Saint-Laurent Dressage in Verchères on August 6 & 7. The last two shows will be the Beaulieu Dressage Classic in Sainte-Justine-de-Newton, on August 20 & 21 and, to conclude the season, St-Apollinaire on September 10 & 11 at the O’Neill-Rondot Stables.

Please note that if there are any modifications to the current prize list after publication, the changes will be posted on the www.quebechorseshows.info web site of the circuit. You will find a centralized electronic version of the prize list as well as entry forms, links and relevant informations.

Participants to the Quebec circuit obtain a national placing. The FEQ will also award the season provincial championships for riders who are members of the Fédération Équestre du Québec.

National article A 1505 details the manner in which the points will be counted (for one class): the placing* multiplied by the number of horses participating in the category multiplied by the factor** for total prize money at the competition.

*The placins are valued at :
________________________________
- First place  : 6 points
- Second place : 5 points
- Third place  : 4 points
- Fourth place : 3 points
- Fifth place : 2 points
- Sixth place   : 1 point

**Factors according to prize money :
______________________________________
- Less than 1 000 $ multiplying : 1
- 1 001 $ to 2 500 $ multiplying : 2
- 2 501 $ to 4 000 $ multiplying : 3

Each competition is independent concerning the amount of prize money that will be awarded to their participants.

For the granting of the provincial awards, all the eligible sanctioned events held in Quebec will be taken in account, including the Dressage@Bromont.

Enjoy your 2011 season!
